Foreign woman appeals to Indians after seeing garbage littered across religious and tourist destinations in Himachal Pradesh; also urges people to respect their religion and culture

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) – Himachal Pradesh is known as ‘Devbhoomi’ (Land of the Gods). “I respect your country, culture, and temples; however, I was deeply saddened to see liquor bottles and garbage strewn everywhere. It is painful to witness such a beautiful place in this condition. Please do not turn this Devbhoomi into a dumping ground,” appealed a foreign woman tourist through a video message. It could not be ascertained which country she belongs to. Her video has gone viral on social media.

Showing footage of a forested area, the woman drew attention to heaps of garbage scattered around. She said, “The landscape and scenery here are extremely beautiful; however, their beauty is being overshadowed by bottles and plastic waste lying everywhere. Please stop doing this.”
Addressing both tourists and local residents, the woman said that people should keep their waste in their own vehicles and dispose of it only after reaching their homes, hotels, or designated garbage bins. With folded hands, she concluded by appealing, “Please respect your religion and culture.”
