US-Iran ceasefire agreement finally signed

Paris (France) – An interim agreement aimed at ending the war between the United States and Iran was signed by US President Donald Trump at the Palace of Versailles in Paris during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. Subsequently, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also signed the agreement electronically from Iran. Following the signatures of both leaders at 5 a.m. Indian time on 18 June, the agreement came into effect immediately. According to the agreement, the war involving Iran will end, and discussions have also been held regarding ending the conflict in Lebanon. The agreement further addresses reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and ending the US naval blockade.

If the agreement is violated, we will bomb Iran again: Trump

According to Trump, “Our objectives were to end the war, reopen Hormuz and prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear bomb. Those objectives have been achieved. If Iran violates the agreement reached with the United States, it will be bombed again. We will not allow Iran to obtain a nuclear bomb.”

Iran will not receive even one dollar from the United States: Vice President J.D. Vance

US Vice President J. D. Vance said that reports claiming Iran would receive a package worth $300 billion (approximately ₹28 lakh crore) were misleading. He said that if Iran accepted the conditions, other countries could invest there, but the United States would not provide Iran with even a single dollar.

All parties must fully adhere to the agreement – China

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that all parties should respect the ceasefire. China also announced humanitarian assistance for Iran and Lebanon.
