Students dance to the song “Gustakh-e-Nabi Ki Ek Hi Saza, Sar Tan Se Juda”

  • Video from the annual gathering of Kids World English School in Partur (Jalna District) goes viral

  • School owned by Congress leader Tariq Siddiqui

  • X account ‘Treeni’ shares the video; School threatens legal action

(“Gustakh-e-Nabi Ki Ek Hi Saza, Sar Tan Se Juda” means “There is only one punishment for insulting Prophet Muhammad – beheading.”)

Jalna / New Delhi – A video from the annual gathering programme of Kids World English School in Partur town of Jalna district has gone viral on social media. In the video, school students can be seen performing a dance with imitation swords to the Pakistani Islamic song “Gustakh-e-Nabi Ki Ek Hi Saza, Sar Tan Se Juda, Sar Tan Se Juda”. At the same time, a photograph of Pakistani terrorist Mumtaz Qadri is clearly visible in the background of the stage. The song advocates the beheading of anyone accused of insulting Prophet Muhammad (blasphemy). The incident dates back to February 2025 and came to light after a video relating to it was recently shared by the staunch nationalist X account ‘Treeni’.

School chairman Tariq Siddiqui reportedly suffers a paralytic stroke

In connection with the matter, a representative of Sanatan Prabhat spoke to Police Inspector Bhagwat of the Partur Police Station. He said that an enquiry was underway and that by the evening of 18 June it would be decided whether a case would be registered or some other action would be taken. When asked for the contact details of the school management, he said that chairman Tariq Siddiqui had suffered a paralytic stroke. Attempts to contact Sub-Divisional Police Officer Rameshwar Renge regarding the matter were unsuccessful.

Siddiqui is a leader of the Congress Party. Users on X have demanded that the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, the Director General of Police of Maharashtra and the Superintendent of Police of Jalna investigate the matter and take appropriate action if any wrongdoing is found.

Additional Superintendent of Police of Jalna, Vikram Sali, said that the investigation had only recently begun and that further action would be taken after the report was received.

Interestingly, Kids World English School in Partur is affiliated with the CBSE curriculum administered by the Union Government.

School management threatens legal action against ‘Treeni’

The school management said that responsibility for the LED screen and visual presentation during the programme had been entrusted to an external contractor. According to the school, it did not have direct control over the visuals displayed on the stage. (The school management offering such a ridiculous explanation should itself be investigated to determine what kind of values it is imparting to children. – Editor) It further claimed that the visuals shown were from the Turkish television series Ertugrul. (This series is known for Islamic themes and contains scenes of beheadings.)

After Treeni shared the video, the school management reportedly threatened to file a case against the account. A representative of Sanatan Prabhat contacted Treeni’s editors regarding the matter. They said that after the video was shared, the school began facing widespread public opposition. As a result, it not only removed the dance video from its YouTube account but also deleted its entire YouTube channel. They added that despite receiving threats of legal action, they would not remove the video because it depicted a real incident.

Who was terrorist Mumtaz Qadri?

Mumtaz Qadri assassinated the Governor of Punjab Province in Pakistan, Salman Taseer, in 2011 by firing 27 rounds from an AK-47 rifle. A Pakistani court convicted him and he was executed in 2016. Even after his execution, some extremist groups in Pakistan continue to glorify him. More than 500 Islamic clerics had supported the murder of Taseer.

Editorial Perspective

  • School management run by a Congress leader has adopted a stance ‘To commit an inexcusable mistake and then attempt to silence those who bring it before the public’. Owing to this, why should its registration not be cancelled?
  • For such a song to be played during a school annual gathering, one wonders whether Jalna is in India or in Pakistan?
