A Muslim arrested in Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) for spying for Pakistan

Had set up a shop on a road near the border and was spying on military movements

Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) – Mushtaq Ali has been arrested from Jaisalmer district located along India-Pakistan international border for spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence). He was in contact with Pakistani handlers ( A handler is an individual who acts as the primary controller, manager, or supervisor of a terrorist operative on the ground) for about two years and was providing sensitive information.

Ali came in contact with Pakistani handlers through social media. He was encouraged to run a shop on a major road leading to border region. He used to keep a watch on the movements of our Border Security Force and the Indian Army. He collected information about the movement of soldiers, military vehicles and security arrangements, and passed it on. He was spying in exchange for money.

Whether Mushtaq Ali was working alone or had accomplices is under investigation.
