This temporary ban has been imposed on the direct recommendation of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The ban covers the crucial days before, during, and after the NEET re-examination. Additionally, Telegram has also been directed to disable the editing facility for all previously posted messages in India until 30 June 2026. Earlier, the question paper of the NEET examination held on 3 May had been leaked on Telegram 48 hours before the exam. Due to this the examination had to be cancelled.
