Uttar Pradesh: Israel, the man accused of killing Sadhu Ram Milan Das, killed in a police encounter!

Unnao (Uttar Pradesh) – A man identified as Israel, who was accused of murdering Sadhu Ram Milan Das, also known as Baba Milan Das Singh, was killed in a police encounter.

According to the police, they received intelligence that Israel and his associates would be present in the Tajpur area. Acting on this information, police surrounded the area at around 4:00 a.m. on June 15^th. Upon realizing that he had been cornered, Israel allegedly opened fire on the police. The police retaliated, and Israel was killed in the exchange of fire.

Sadhu Ram Milan Das allegedly killed over use of loudspeakers for devotional singing!

According to police records, on June 9^th, Israel and his associates allegedly stabbed Sadhu Ram Milan Das to death in the Bangarmau area of Unnao. Family members of the deceased have alleged that some extremists objected to the sadhu’s use of loudspeakers for devotional bhajans and kirtans at the temple, and that this led to the murder. Following the killing, the accused reportedly went into hiding. The victim’s family continued to demand justice. The police had also announced a reward of ₹1 lakh for the arrest of the accused. The family of Sadhu Ram Milan Das has demanded that the police now take strict action against the remaining accused as well.
