Passengers suffer due to inconveniences at the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Bus Stand (Old) in Tuljapur! Shri Gopichand Vhanmare, Solapur

Tuljapur (Dharashiv District) – The Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj (Old) Bus Stand here was recently renovated. A spacious bus stand, modern lighting, drinking water facilities, seating arrangements for passengers, new flooring, marble seating ledges, and other amenities have been provided. However, the renovation has been marred due to the unhygienic practices of some passengers and the lack of regular cleaning at the bus stand.

1. Despite the ‘No Parking’ sign in the bus stand area, two-wheelers and four-wheelers are parked there. Despite there being signboards of ‘Fine will be imposed if the rules are violated’, no action is taken against these vehicles.

Due to unsanitary conditions and unauthorized parking, passengers have to sit on the platform or stand.

3. There is a water cooler in the area, but it is non-functional. Due to this, passengers have to drink tap water. Due to the problem of drinking water, outside vendors are selling Rs 15 water bottles to passengers for Rs 20; however, the bus stand officials do not oppose them. Due to this, passengers have to unnecessarily pay an extra amount. When the depot chief was informed about this, he casually promised to take action; but no such action was taken.

4. The control room is closed.
