Mr. Bhimrao Khot, Palus
Ishwarpur – Ishwarpur is an important bus stand in Sangli District. The number of platforms at this bus stand is insufficient. Therefore, buses on the routes of Warnanagar, Kodoli, Ashta, Takari, Vita, Junekhed, Tasgaon and Palus are made to stop at places without a shed instead of at the platforms. Due to this, passengers have to wait for the buses in the scorching sun.

Passengers also suffer during monsoon season. The passengers face inconvenience because they do not understand which bus would be parked where. If the location of the bus changes, the passengers have to run there with their luggage. There is no shed available here which would protect the passengers from the sun. There is no seating facility as well. Due to this, women, children, the elderly and the sick passengers face a lot of inconvenience. They rely on the shade of a coconut tree there while waiting for the buses. The State transport administration is completely ignoring this problem faced by the passengers.
1. The toilet at the bus stand is extremely dirty. One has to literally hold one’s nose while entering here as the smell is so awful. Due to this, some passengers urinate elsewhere in the premises of the bus stand. The floor tiles here are also broken.

2. Grass has grown elsewhere in the area of the bus stand. The concreting of the roads is incomplete. Half of the bus stand is covered with Crushed stone (murrum). There are many potholes in that area. Shrubs have grown in some areas.

3. When a representative of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ met Ishwarpur Depot Manager Mr. Dilip Thombre and asked him about the problems faced by the passengers, he responded saying, “We are trying to rectify the shortcomings”.
Positive Observations
There is drinking water facility here. Bus timetable boards and information boards about various schemes are displayed. The condition of the Hirkani room (mother-child cell) and the staff rest room is good. The condition of the buses at the station is also good.
