Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh): Opposition to turning ‘Shri Goga Madhi’ pilgrimage site into a centre of entertainment!

  • Hindus angered as Muslims also visit the lake in the area!

  • Warning that cow urine bath will be made mandatory for visiting Muslims

Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) – Hindus are protesting against the conversion of the Hindu religious site ‘Shri Goga Madhi’ here into an ‘fun point’, an entertainment centre. Hindu organizations have launched an agitation alleging that the ‘Goraksh Ganga Sarovar’ located in the Goga Madhi complex here is being turned into a ‘fun point’.

Anil Pratap Saini, President of ‘Goga Madhi Sudhar Sabha’, has alleged that the large increase in the number of Muslims visiting this Hindu pilgrimage site is having a negative impact on its religious atmosphere.

The administration has not yet taken any stand on this. When a representative of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ tried to contact Saharanpur District Collector Arvind Kumar Chauhan in this regard, he could not be reached.

Purification rituals by pro-Hindutva activists!

After the entry of Muslims into this area, the idol of ‘Jaharveer Gogaji Maharaj’ installed there was purified and worshipped. In this regard, Anil Pratap Saini said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had inaugurated ‘Goraksh Ganga Sarovar’ here last year. This place is a centre of faith for lakhs of devotees. The form of this lake has been changed without any discussion with our committee and now it appears more like a place of amusement than a religious site. The municipal administration here is responsible for this.

A ‘Gomutra project’ (Cow urine project) will be set up at both the entrances!

Saini demanded from the administration that entry to this religious place should be restricted only to followers of Sanatan Dharma. If their demands are not met immediately, a major agitation will be launched. Preparations are underway to set up a ‘Gomutra projects’ at both entrances of this religious place. It will be mandatory for any Muslim person entering through these entrances to take a bath with cow urine. We will be contacting villages across the region for this campaign. If necessary, we are also prepared to court arrest ourselves.

Editorial Perspective

Such incidents are not expected to happen in a Hindu country, especially in Yogi Adityanath's Uttar Pradesh. Hindus across the country should raise their voice to take action against the administrative officials and Police responsible for this.
