Agni-6 missile reportedly has a strike range of 8,000 to 12,000 kilometres

Balasore (Odisha) – Ahead of a possible test of the Agni-6 missile at the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, approximately 11,442 residents living within a radius of 1 to 3.5 kilometres from the test site have been temporarily relocated as a safety precaution. Arrangements have been made to accommodate them at various relief centres. The administration has imposed stringent security measures throughout the entire area surrounding the test site.

Residents will be allowed to return after the test is completed and the necessary safety clearance is granted. No official announcement regarding the Agni-6 test has yet been made. The news website Firstpost has reported the development. The Agni-6 missile is reportedly capable of striking targets at distances ranging from 8,000 to 12,000 kilometres.
