
Mumbai – A decision to erect a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Israel was taken on the occasion of Shiv Rajyabhishek Day (Coronation Day). Yaniv Revach, Israel’s Consul General in Mumbai, met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held regarding the proposal to erect the statue. Chief Minister Fadnavis welcomed the initiative and assured all necessary support from the Maharashtra Government.

Speaking on the occasion, Revach said, “This initiative is being undertaken by Israel to honour Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s bravery, visionary leadership, and contribution to nation-building. The statue will serve as a symbol of the strong friendship and cultural ties between India and Israel.”
A proposal was also put forward to translate literature and biographies on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj into Hebrew. This would enable Israeli citizens to learn more about his achievements, ideals, and historical legacy.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed his happiness through a post on X. He stated:
