Permission revoked for goat sacrifice in a residential building at Goregaon

Decision by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation

Mumbai – The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has revoked permission for goat sacrifice in the building ‘Satellite Gardens Phase 2’ at Goregaon. Regarding this, Senior Police Inspector Mahendra Shinde of Dindoshi Police Station said, “Animal sacrifice will not be permitted within the building premises. Orders have been issued to remove the goats being kept there.”

The Municipal Corporation had earlier granted permission for animal sacrifice in the Azad Nagar D-3 building in the Dindoshi area; however, that permission has now been withdrawn. Since there are meat shops within a 1-kilometre radius of the building, the permission has been revoked.
