
Nadia (West Bengal) – On 28 May, the day of Bakri Eid, West Bengal Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari visited the global headquarters of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) at Mayapur in Nadia district and performed cow worship (Gopuja). At the Goshala (cowshed) there, he also fed fruits and sweets to the cows. The Chief Minister’s visit is being regarded as significant not only from a religious perspective but also from a cultural one, as he held discussions with senior ISKCON Saints on once again highlighting West Bengal’s spiritual heritage at the global level.
