Pakistan will have to face consequences for supporting terrorism

India warns Pakistan at the UN

New York (America) – India warned at the United Nations Security Council that Pakistan would face serious consequences if it continued supporting cross-border terrorism. At the same time, India once again strongly demanded comprehensive reforms in the Security Council. India said that while the world has reached the year 2026, the Security Council still remains trapped in the mindset and framework of 1945.

India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, P. Harish, said that India has every right to defend itself against cross-border terrorism. He asserted that Pakistan must understand that there is a price to be paid for harbouring terrorism. His statement came in response to the speech of Pakistan’s Permanent Representative Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, who had criticised India by raising the Kashmir issue. Pakistan had claimed that the issue of Jammu and Kashmir still remained unresolved despite United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Pakistan has never complied with the conditions laid down by the United Nations

India reminded Pakistan that under United Nations Security Council Resolution 47 passed in 1948, Pakistan was required to withdraw its soldiers and tribal fighters from Kashmir, but it never complied with this condition. India further stated that Pakistan has continuously encouraged terrorism, extremism, and anti-India activities, and that its claims of respecting the United Nations Charter are hollow. India also stated that Pakistan has repeatedly imposed wars on India, carried out unprovoked aggression, and supported cross-border terrorism for decades.

Editorial Perspective

Since Pakistan understands not the language of words but only that of weapons, India should take such action that Pakistan understands this permanently. This would prevent Pakistan from repeatedly creating trouble!
