8 Youths Killed in Accident at Ambenali Ghat!

Satara, May 25 (News) – A Scorpio vehicle met with an accident around midnight on May 24 in the Ambenali Ghat section on the Poladpur–Mahabaleshwar road in Raigad district. Eight youths lost their lives in the accident. It is suspected that the driver lost control of the vehicle at a sharp turn, causing it to plunge into a deep gorge. As soon as information about the accident was received, the police administrations of Raigad and Satara districts, members of the “Mahabaleshwar Trekkers,” the “Pratapgad Rescue Team,” trekking organizations from Mahad and Poladpur, along with local residents, descended into the gorge in the darkness of night and launched search and operations. After extensive efforts, the bodies of the victims were successfully recovered. Guardian Minister Shambhuraj Desai has directed officials to expedite the administrative formalities. So far, 3 bodies have been brought out of the gorge. It is reported that one of the deceased was from Chiplun, while the remaining seven were from Koregaon.
