Supreme Court rebukes the National Testing Agency over the NEET-UG question paper leak case

New Delhi – The Supreme Court sharply criticised the National Testing Agency in connection with the NEET-UG examination paper leak case, stating that “it is extremely unfortunate that no lesson has yet been learnt from previous experiences and mistakes”.
Taking serious note of the matter, the Supreme Court has issued notices to the Union Government and the Union Education Ministry. The Court has also sought an explanation from the Agency regarding “what happened to the oversight committee that had been constituted earlier under the Court’s orders”. The next hearing in the matter will now take place on 29 May.
The Supreme Court has directed the National Testing Agency to submit a detailed affidavit in this matter. It has also instructed the chairperson of the earlier oversight committee to ensure compliance with the prescribed regulations.
