Technical fault in Metro Aqua Line 3; Passengers stranded for 50 minutes

Since the disruption occurred during peak morning hours, officegoers faced significant inconvenience. Services resumed smoothly after 50 minutes. The metro service on this route directly connects to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and is completely underground.

Inconvenience faced by passengers

As the metro remained stationary at one spot, passengers became frightened. Since the train was stuck in the underground tunnel, passengers were unable to get mobile network coverage on their phones. Being a completely underground railway line, nothing outside was visible. Many people were delayed in reaching their offices.
