Publication of a book on Agriculture by Dr Ravindra Prabhudesai, Administrative Director of ‘Pitambari’ Products PVT LTD by the Governor of Maharashtra

Mumbai – The Publication of Pitambari Products Private Limited’s Administrative Director, Dr Ravindra Prabhudesai’s books named ‘Adhunik Sheti Model’ and ‘Apale Kokan- Anuskura Te Sakhaloli Swapna Purticha Adbhut Pravas’ was done by Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Verma on 20 May at Rajbhavn. The books discussing new experiments in progressive farming would encourage youth towards modern farming. Officers of the Pitambari Group, like Shri Madhukar Pujari, Mrs Priya Prabhudesai, Shailaja Shetty, and Priyanka Pavaskar were present. Other dignitaries present were Padmashree Ramesh Patange, Adinath Patil of ‘Vivek Prakashan’.

Dr Prabhudesai had spoken of his innovative farming experiments in the book. Also mentioned in the book are farming experiments in bamboo, Sonchapha, Ayurvedic plants, various fruit trees, vegetables, and sugarcane. It is especially commendable that he has also listed his failures while doing these experiments. This will help the readers know what to avoid while farming a particular product. As Dr Prabhudesai has written about his own experiences, the information in the book is factual.

The fact that the Governor published my books is a moment of pride and honour for me. These books are the fruit of numerous years of Agricultural development in the Kokan region, and experiences and work devoted to modern farming methods and futuristic vision. I have tried to present a progressive farming model in the book, and it contains practical experiences that can motivate and inspire brother farmers.
