Terrorist abandons plans and undergoes hair treatment instead after learning truth about Kashmir

Information revealed during interrogation after arrest by investigating agencies

Terrorist Mahammad Usman Jatt

Srinagar (J&K) – Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Mohammad Usman Jatt alias Chini had infiltrated India through Kashmir to carry out terrorist activities. He was reportedly setting up “sleeper cells” (local covert groups assisting terrorists) in the region. However, he abandoned his ‘mission’ and instead underwent a hair transplant procedure in Srinagar. According to him, the conditions in Kashmir were not as terrible as he had been told. Later, realising that he was suffering from hair loss, he decided to undergo treatment and got a hair transplant done.

Usman is a resident of Lahore. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested him, and investigation into the matter is ongoing. He reportedly disclosed the above information during interrogation.

Editorial Perspective

How much truth there is in the terrorist’s claim will emerge through further investigation. However, considering the manner in which such individuals are brainwashed in the name of Islamic jihad and trained to establish the rule of Allah (‘Dar-ul-Islam’), even if a non-Muslim scholar of Islam feels that this terrorist may be lying, it would not be entirely unreasonable.
