Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gives direct advice to Muslims regarding offering namaz on roads!
He also warned: “If matters are resolved through dialogue, well and good… otherwise…”

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) – “Roads are meant for movement. Nobody has the right to block the roads. If there is no space in your homes for living or offering Namaz, then control the population. If you do not have the capacity, then why are you increasing the population?” Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath advised Muslims regarding offering Namaz on roads in these words,.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath further stated:
1. People ask me, “Does Namaz really not take place on roads in your Uttar Pradesh?” I tell them, “Absolutely not”.
2. Are roads meant for people to walk on, or for anyone to come and create chaos? What right does anyone have to block roads? Whoever has a place of worship should go there and pray. He said. Muslims asked, “How can this happen? Our numbers are large.”

3. To this, I replied, “If Namaz is essential, then offer prayers in shifts. We will not stop it; but it cannot happen on the roads. Roads are for movement. We will not allow roads to be obstructed. The government’s rules apply equally to everyone.”
4. We have told everyone that chaos on roads will not be tolerated. If people listen peacefully, that is good; otherwise, another course will be adopted. Our work is to establish dialogue. If you listen through dialogue, then through dialogue… otherwise, be prepared to witness confrontation as well. People in Bareilly tried testing the system and they have seen the strength of the government. Therefore, the government wants the entire system to function according to rules.
