35 freedom fighters killed in Pakistani military operation in Balochistan

3 senior commanders arrested

Quetta (Balochistan) – The Pakistan military has carried out a covert operation in Balochistan in which 35 Baloch freedom fighters have been killed and 3 senior commanders have been arrested. The operation was conducted in the Mangla Zarghoon area.

Spokesperson of the Balochistan Government, Shahid Rind, told media representatives in Quetta that the operation had commenced on 13th May. Over the past 4 days, 35 terrorists (freedom fighters) have been killed. The operation was directed against the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan and its various groups active in Balochistan. Security forces have destroyed several militant hideouts in the Mangla Zarghoon region.
