Director of RCC coaching classes in Latur, Shivraj Motegaonkar, arrested in NEET scam

Latur (Maharashtra) – In the NEET examination paper leak case, the Central Bureau of Investigation conducted an 11-hour-long interrogation of Professor Shivraj Motegaonkar, director of the well-known ‘Renukai Chemistry Classes’ (RCC) coaching institute in Latur and subsequently arrested him. Motegaonkar had obtained the question paper for the NEET examination held on 3rd May as early as 23rd April — 10 days before the examination.

During the investigation, the original NEET question paper and answer sheet were found on his mobile phone. Apparently, that he had forwarded the paper to a person named Vivek Patil and to certain selected students. On 14th May, raids were conducted at his residence in Latur. Immediately after the examination, he had deleted all technical evidence and information from his mobile phone. At present, he is reportedly avoiding revealing the names of the beneficiary students.

In a video related to the case that has been widely circulated on social media, Motegaonkar is seen interacting with students.

Who is Professor Shivraj Motegaonkar?

Shivraj Motegaonkar is popularly known as “M Sir” in the education sector. In 1999, he started the coaching classes with only 10 students. Later, the coaching institute became widely known as ‘RCC’.
