Hydrogen bus to run in Delhi for the first time

New Delhi – For the first time in the national capital, a bus service running on hydrogen gas has commenced in the Central Vista area. Indian Oil Corporation has handed over two such advanced buses to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. This initiative has been implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The primary objective behind this initiative is to promote clean, sustainable and modern urban transport. This service is expected to encourage Government officials as well as the general public to make greater use of public transportation.
