Action taken for failing to appear for questioning

Kolkata – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Kolkata Deputy Commissioner of Police Shantanu Sinha Ghosh in the Sona Pappu case after he repeatedly failed to appear for questioning despite multiple summons being issued to him. Since he did not appear despite several summons, a ‘look-out notice’ had been issued against him. The Sona Pappu case is related to land grabbing, extortion and financial fraud associated with real estate (property purchase and sale).
