Whoever wishes to test me should come to the Darbar: Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri

Matter regarding Shyam Manav, who promotes irreligion, challenging Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri

Nagpur (Maharashtra) – Challenging the miracles of Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham, the Akhil Bharatiya Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti has increased the prize money from ₹30 lakh to ₹80 lakh. The challenge was issued by the committee’s convenor, Shyam Manav, to which Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri responded, “Whoever wishes to test me should come to the Darbar.” Shyam Manav explained the conditions of the challenge in an interview given to a daily newspaper.

Conditions laid down by Shyam Manav for the challenge

1. The test can only be conducted at the Patrakar Bhavan in Nagpur.

2. A panel committee will be formed, with the consent of Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri as well. During the test, the mobile phones of all those present, including Maharaj, will be sealed.

3. Ten unknown persons will suddenly be brought before Maharaj. He will have to reveal their names, their fathers’ names, surnames and mobile numbers. He will also have to identify 10 nearby objects through his ‘divine vision’.

4. If he succeeds on the very first attempt, the same process will be repeated after five days with a new set of people. If 90 per cent accuracy is achieved on both occasions, he will be awarded ₹80 lakh.

The Akhil Bharatiya Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti argues that there may be secret methods of gathering information in the Darbar, which are difficult to control. Shyam Manav said, “If Maharaj proves himself, I will bow at his feet, shut down my organisation and become his devotee. Maharaj will not accept the challenge. He knows that if he participates in a fair challenge, his business will shut down. That is why he ran away. His activities are fraudulent.”

We are not magicians; this is divine inspiration: Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri

Responding to the challenge, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri said, “We are not magicians. We guide people according to the inspiration bestowed upon us by God.”

Editorial Perspective

  • Raising questions over the work of Hindu Saints and attempting to defame them is nothing but the intellectual corruption of atheists.
  • Devotees believe that Shyam Manav’s attempt to impose his own conditions and put Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri in difficulty, without first coming to his Darbar and understanding the truth, will prove futile.
