Muzaffarpur, Bihar – A Hindu teacher from Muzaffarpur district has lodged a serious complaint against her in-laws. She alleged that after marrying a Muslim man, she has been subjected to severe pressure from her husband’s family to convert and follow Islamic practices.

According to the complaint filed with the Police, her father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law allegedly forced her to wear a burqa and eat meat. She further alleged that whenever she refused to comply with these demands, she was brutally assaulted and threatened with death.

1.  The victim also alleged that her in-laws are unwilling to accept the marriage and are exerting pressure on her through the local Panchayat.

2.  In her complaint to the Police, she stated, “I am being harassed and forced to convert my religion.” Based on her complaint, a case has been registered against her in-laws.
