Pakistan Attempts to conceal India’s valour during ‘Operation Sindoor’

The United States exposes Pakistan’s claim that India had requested a ceasefire as false !

Islamabad (Pakistan) – During last year’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir had claimed at an event that India had expressed a desire for mediation and a ceasefire through the United States. However, official records in the United States have now exposed his claim as false.

1. Asim Munir stated that Pakistan’s strategy proved superior to India’s and that India had attempted talks through American leadership. According to him, Pakistan accepted the proposal in the interest of regional peace.

2. Documents submitted under the American “Foreign Agents Registration Act” (FARA) have exposed Pakistan’s claims. According to records in these documents, between 6 May and 9 May 2025, Pakistan conducted nearly 60 separate outreach campaigns in Washington. These included continuous contacts with American lawmakers, Congressional staff, officials, national security advisers, defence officials and media organisations.

3. The documents show that Pakistan had requested meetings with several senior American officials. At the same time, there is no mention of any major initiative by India seeking American mediation.

4. India had already clarified earlier that the initiative for the ceasefire was taken by Pakistan’s DGMO (“Director General of Military Operations”), and that both countries agreed to the ceasefire after telephone discussions between senior military officials.

Editorial Perspective

Despite being repeatedly humiliated at every level, Pakistan continues to provoke India again and again. This raises the question that, ‘When will India make effort to eliminate it ?’
