Illegal constructions of religious fanatic corporator in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to face bulldozer action !

  • Case of sheltering an accused in the corporate jihad case in Nashik

  • Municipal Corporation issues notice to corporator Matin Patel !

Councilor Mateen Patel and accused Nida Khan

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar – Nida Khan, the main suspect in the business jihad case in Nashik, had allegedly been given shelter by AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) corporator Matin Patel. She was staying at his house in Naregaon. That house, along with his second residence in Bismillah Colony and his office on the main road, were allegedly illegal constructions. In this regard, the Municipal Corporation has pasted notices on his properties and stated that if a satisfactory reply is not submitted within 3 days, bulldozer action would be taken against the illegal structures. The administration has also served him a ‘show cause’ notice in this matter.

Owaisi supports the accused !

However, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, as usual, defended the religious fanatic accused Nida Khan and Matin Patel. He alleged that the accusations were being made purely out of hatred and questioned, “Is wearing a burqa illegal ? Is possessing a burqa and religious books a crime ?” He also claimed that educated Muslim youths were being targeted. (What is wrong if someone demands a ban on parties that support a jihadi mindset ? – Editor)

Even while Matin Patel is under arrest, banners supporting him have been put up. (Those putting up such banners should also be identified and investigated ! – Editor) Last month, in the Shahaganj area, Matin Patel had allegedly threatened the anti-encroachment squad. (Such people should be firmly dealt with in time ! – Editor)

Thorough interrogation of religious fanatic Nida Khan’s family as well !

The Police questioned main suspect Nida Khan and her mother face-to-face for one-and-a-half hours. The Police are verifying technical evidence to trace those who helped her while she was absconding. To find out who provided her financial assistance and who remained in contact with her during that period, the Police also interrogated her mother, father, brother and maternal aunt. The Police are verifying whether there are contradictions in their statements.

Editorial Perspective

  • This case once again proves that criminals do have a ‘religion’, and those who shelter them also belong to a particular mindset. Those involved in anti-national activities must be given the strictest possible punishment. The authorities must carry out this action without succumbing to any pressure !
  • If people calling themselves public representatives are sheltering criminals, their posts should be revoked immediately and sedition charges should be filed against them !
