US launches fresh bombing attack on Iran

Trump warns of further attacks if Iran does not agree to a deal

Washington (USA) – Iranian state media outlet Press TV has reported that the United States military carried out fresh bombing strikes on Iran, allegedly violating the ceasefire.

According to Press TV, a spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters stated that US forces targeted an oil tanker heading toward the Strait of Hormuz from Iranian maritime territory near Jask.

US President Donald Trump warned Iran that if it failed to reach an agreement, the US would launch further attacks. On the other hand, Trump also alleged that Iran had attacked American warships. He stated that this led to an exchange of fire between the two countries, during which, according to him, US forces “completely destroyed” Iranian assets and sank several small boats.

Trump further claimed that the United States would not allow Iran to possess nuclear weapons and asserted that Iran had also agreed on this matter.

Arsenio Dominguez, Secretary-General of the United Nations maritime agency, stated that due to the Hormuz crisis, an estimated 1,500 vessels are stranded in the Gulf region. Around 20,000 crew members and sailors aboard these vessels are also reportedly stuck.
