Police appeal to maintain peace

Director General of Police Siddhnath Gupta said, “If a person has a complaint against anyone, he should come to the Police station and file a complaint. The Police will take legal action against the concerned. However, there is no need for anyone to take the law into their own hands. Citizens should maintain peace and order.”

Editorial Perspective

  • This raises the question whether there is any such thing as law and order in Bengal !
  • BJP has come to power in Bengal; but these violent incidents show how much work it will have to do in the future. For that, BJP must take tough decisions.
