40 men attempt to molest undercover woman cop within 3 hours

Shocking reality highlighting women’s safety concerns in Malkajgiri, Telangana

Hyderabad (Telangana) – In an unusual experiment to test the reality behind claims regarding women’s safety, V Sumathi, the Police Commissioner of Malkajgiri, dressed in plain clothes and without security personnel, stood at a bus station like an ordinary woman from 12:30 AM to 3:30 AM. Within just three hours, 40 men allegedly attempted to harass her. The incident highlighted the disturbing reality of how unsafe women can feel in the city.

Educated youths, students, and employees among the harassers

The men involved were not limited to those with criminal backgrounds. They reportedly included educated youths, students, and employees of well-known companies. Many were allegedly intoxicated with alcohol, while some were suspected of being under the influence of drugs. None of them realised that the woman standing there was actually a senior Police officer.

Counseling conducted in front of families

After the operation, the police identified and detained all 40 individuals. Instead of registering criminal cases against them, the Police administration chose a different approach. The accused were called along with their family members and strongly counselled. They were instructed on how women should be treated in public places and were issued a final warning.

Editorial Perspective

  • This incident reflects the extent to which social morality has deteriorated. It also highlights the importance of moral and value-based education on Dharma in society.
  • Such experiments should be conducted within the jurisdiction of every Police station in the country, as they could create greater public awareness and deterrence.
