Power Bank Catches Fire on Flight : Five Injured

Power Bank is a portable, rechargeable battery designed to charge electronic devices like phones, tablets, laptops, etc. especially in the absence of electric supply ) 

Hyderabad (Telangana) – During an Indigo flight 6E-108 from Hyderabad to Chandigarh, power bank carried by a passenger caught fire and five passengers were injured. The incident occurred when the plane had just touched the ground at Chandigarh airport and was stationary. Smoke was reported in the cabin. All passengers were evacuated through the emergency exit. The situation was brought under control by the flight staff using fire extinguishers. The Police and airport authority were informed and an inquiry is going on.
