Guwahati (Assam) – In 2018, the Urdu newspaper Inquilab had claimed that Rahul Gandhi had stated that Congress is a party of Muslims. Whether there is any truth in this remains unclear. However, at present, out of the 19 MLAs elected in Assam, 18 are Muslims, while the remaining one is a Hindu. In Bengal, the two newly elected Congress MLAs are Motab Shaikh (Farakka constituency) and Zulfikar Ali (Raninagar constituency).
🚩 Congress: A Party for Muslims? 🚩
The statistics say it all:
🔹 Assam: 18 out of 19 Congress MLAs are Muslim.🔹 Bengal: Both Congress MLAs are Muslim.
The result of constant Muslim appeasement is clear – the Hindu society has rejected Congress.

Kerala sees 13 per cent Muslim MLAs in Congress
In Kerala, out of the 63 Congress MLAs elected, at least 8 are Muslims, which is approximately 13 per cent. In addition, within Kerala’s United Democratic Front, the largest constituent party after Congress is the Indian Union Muslim League. This party traces its origins to the movement led by Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. After the Partition of India, the All India Muslim League evolved into the Muslim League in Pakistan, while in India it continued as the Indian Union Muslim League. This indicates that even in the present environment of Hindu cultural nationalism, Congress’s inclination towards Muslims has not remained concealed.
