Anwar Qureshi arrested in Madhya Pradesh for making ghee from animal fat

Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh) – Police in Khandwa have arrested Anwar Sheikh Bismillah Qureshi for allegedly manufacturing and selling ghee made from animal fat, bones and hides. The illegal activity was being carried out in a narrow lane in the Imlipura area.

A joint team comprising the district administration, municipal corporation, veterinary department and police conducted a raid at the accused’s premises. During the operation, they seized animal hides, bones, 69 containers and 9 drums filled with animal fat, animal horns and other materials. The accused was reportedly selling the adulterated ghee in local markets, hotels and other establishments. A case has been registered against the accused, and he has been taken into custody.

Following the incident, Khandwa MLA Kanchan Tanve visited the site and stated that the matter is extremely serious, urging strict action against those responsible. The police are continuing further investigation.
