Principal Threatens to Expel Student for Purchasing Notebooks and Books from Outside the School

  • Incident at a School in Hardoi (Uttar Pradesh)

  • Action must be taken against such schools!

Hardoi (Uttar Pradesh) – In a video circulating on social media, Mamta Mishra, the principal of a school here, is seen shouting loudly and speaking rudely to the mother of a student. She insulted the parent using words like “Remove this child’s name from the register right now,” “Get out of here,” “Shut up,” and “Get lost.” She threatened to strike off the name of the child studying in the Senior KG (UKG) class. Mishra issued this threat because the student’s mother had purchased notebooks and books from outside instead of from the school.

The student’s mother, Neelam Verma, had bought the required educational materials from an outside shop. The school refused to allow the use of these notebooks. The school insisted that parents must purchase all educational supplies only from the school itself. When Neelam Verma went to discuss this issue, she had to face the principal’s wrath. Parents are now alleging that the school management is forcing them to buy materials only from specific shops for their own personal profit.

“A Conspiracy to Defame Me” – Principal’s Claim

After the video went viral, Principal Mamta Mishra stated that while her language in the video might seem wrong, the truth behind it is different. She claimed the concerned parent had been harassing them over fees for several days. She further alleged that the parent intentionally created a commotion while a vaccination program was underway at the school.

Inquiry Ordered by Administration

The District Education Officer has taken serious note of this matter. Expressing displeasure, the officer stated that a teacher’s language should be restrained and disciplined, and such behavior toward parents is not part of our culture. Information has surfaced that this school is only authorized to run classes from 1st to 5th grade; an inquiry is now underway to determine if junior classes are being operated illegally.
