“Withdraw the case, or we will kill your other son as well” : Alleged threat to a Hindu family by the Muslim side

Delhi High Court orders security for the victim’s family

New Delhi – In connection with the murder of a Hindu youth in Uttam Nagar on the day of Holi, the Delhi High Court has issued strict instructions to the Delhi Police regarding the security of the victim’s family. The Court stated that there must be no lapse in ensuring their safety.

On April 13, 2026, Babu Khan and his associates from the accused side allegedly threatened the victim’s family, saying, “One has been killed, now it’s the turn of the other.” Following this incident, an atmosphere of fear has spread in the area. The Hindu family has reportedly put up a sign outside their house stating “House for Sale.”

The incident dates back to March 4, 2026. On that day, in the J.J. Colony area of Uttam Nagar, a youth threw a water-filled balloon at a Muslim woman. Angered by this, a mob allegedly assaulted him severely, resulting in his death.

The case is currently being heard in the Delhi High Court. During the hearing, the police informed the Court that adequate security arrangements have been made for the victim’s family.
