Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that cow’s milk is a gift of nature and can be regarded as a divine blessing. He questioned, “Those who eat beef, do they drink pig’s milk ?” He further remarked that across the world, people consume cow’s milk irrespective of whether they revere the cow or not. He added that just as an infant naturally consumes its mother’s milk, it is a blessing bestowed by nature. He was speaking at a ‘Nari Shakti Vandana’ programme held in Gorakhpur.

Women hold a revered position in Indian culture

Adityanath further stated that women have always held a place of high respect in Indian culture. He cited examples such as Shri Ram being referred to as the son of Kausalya and Shrikrushna as the beloved of Yashoda. He also noted that figures like Bhishma and Arjuna are identified through their mothers, reflecting the importance of maternal influence. He added that in places like Mathura and Vrindavan, people greet each other with “Radhe Radhe”, while in Kashi, the chant “Namah Parvati Pataye” is commonly heard, further underscoring the reverence for feminine divinity.
