Murtis and pictures of Hindu Deities placed near the feet of employees in Lenskart shops

Yet another anti-Hindu act by Lenskart

New Delhi – After the eyewear retailer Lenskart apologised for banning its Hindu employees from wearing religious symbols, a new case has come to light. In a video circulating on social media, activists of Hindu organisations are seen questioning employees of a Lenskart store. The video claims that in some places, there are small temple-like arrangements or pictures of Hindu Deities hidden in cupboards under the counter or placed at the feet of employees. This has sparked a wave of anger among Hindus, and renewed calls for a boycott have been made.

In this video, some activists enter the shop and search for idols and pictures of Deities kept in a cupboard under the counter. At that time, a frightened employee is seen, and the activists demand that the Deities be kept ‘high and clearly visible as a sign of respect’. ‘Is there anything in the company policy in this regard ?’, they asked. Some have raised the question if Hindu deities are deliberately kept at the feet and out of sight. Similar allegations have come to light in other branches of ‘Lenskart’, and it is being claimed on social media that managers have been instructed to keep such items hidden and not easily visible. Many have tagged the owner of the company, Peyush Bansal, and asked ‘What exactly is going on under your leadership ?’ and have urged Hindu shareholders and customers to reconsider their relationship with the company. ‘Lenskart’ has not yet issued an official response to these new videos.

Editorial Perspective

This makes it clear that the mentality of 'Lenskart' is anti-Hindu. The true punishment for such a company would be that Hindus boycott it permanently.
