TCS case : Victims’ statements indicate a larger conspiracy of religious conversion

Nashik, Maharashtra – Statements emerging from multiple victims suggest that a serious conspiracy was allegedly orchestrated in a reputed TCS establishment in Nashik to lure Hindu girls and pressure them into religious conversion. Police also suspect that the accused were being provided significant financial support for carrying out such activities. This raises the possibility that the matter may not be an isolated incident but part of a larger organised network.

Evidence of coercion for conversion reported so far

According to available statements, when the father of one victim suffered a paralytic stroke, he was allegedly advised to convert, and was subsequently forced into conversion. A staff member reportedly stated that instructions were given to “befriend Hindu girls and induce them to convert”. It has also been claimed that economically vulnerable girls in the 20–25 age group were easier targets.

There are also allegations that derogatory remarks were made about Hindu Deities within the establishment. Victims have alleged instances of sexual exploitation, obscene comments, inappropriate behaviour, and pressure to consume beef. One victim was reportedly influenced to observe roza and stop wearing lipstick. It was also suggested to women that attire associated with another religion would suit them better. These patterns, according to the statements, point towards a structured attempt at conversion.

No accused will be spared in the TCS case – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Nashik – The case related to the TCS establishment in Nashik is very serious, and strict action is being taken. No accused will be spared. This appears to be part of a larger conspiracy, and no one will be shielded, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in his first public response to the matter. He added that the extent of the network will be thoroughly investigated, and central investigative agencies have been informed and will be involved if required.

Nida Khan identified as key accused

During the questioning of HR head Ashwini Chainani, it reportedly emerged that Nida Khan is a key accused in the alleged conversion racket. A software engineer and manager, she is accused of misusing her position to target Hindu girls entering the organisation under the pretext of training. Victim statements suggest that systematic psychological pressure was exerted on them to induce conversion.
