Case registered under POCSO
Action taken after complaint by MP Anil Bonde

Amravati (Maharashtra) – A 19-year-old youth, Ayan Ahmed Tanveer Ahmed, from the Paratwada area of Amravati, has been accused of sexually exploiting 180 minor girls. Around 350 videos and photographs related to this exploitation went viral. He has been arrested, and a case has been registered against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. As no action was initially taken by the Amravati Police, BJP MP Anil Bonde approached the Superintendent of Police and filed a complaint. Following this, the arrest was carried out.
Anil Bonde stated that through these videos, the girls were being threatened with death. They were blackmailed and extorted for money, and in some cases, pushed toward prostitution. Despite this, no action had been taken earlier by the Police. He termed it organised crime and warned of strong protests if the accused had not been arrested.
The videos reportedly show the accused engaging in obscene acts with different girls. The girls appearing in the videos seem to be minors at first glance. Efforts are ongoing to identify the victims and their parents. Due to fear, neither the victims nor their families have come forward so far.
