‘Love Jihad’ Case Reported in Hubballi (Karnataka)

Hubballi (Karnataka) – A new case described as a “love jihad” incident has come to light in Hubballi. A Hindu woman has alleged that a young man named Sameer invited her to his residence, administered an intoxicating substance, and sexually assaulted her.

According to the survivor’s statement, she became acquainted with Sameer through his sister, Taisim Mulla, who was her friend. The two reportedly grew closer after meeting at the woman’s birthday gathering, where Sameer was also present.

The complainant alleged that on one occasion Sameer took her to his house, where he gave her a sedative without her knowledge and sexually assaulted her. She further claimed that he recorded a video of the incident and later used it to threaten and repeatedly exploit her sexually.

The matter has been brought to the attention of the authorities, and further investigation is underway.
