Solar energy used to cook Mahaprasad for 50 thousand devotees !

  • Self-reliance of Shegaon’s Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan

  • 70 per cent cooking through solar energy, while 30 per cent cooking on traditional wood !

Shegaon (District Buldhana) – Amid the current global war situation, shortages of gas cylinders and fuel are being experienced; however, the initiative undertaken by the Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan here is commendable. Every day, Mahaprasad is continuously distributed to 50 thousand devotees.

Even when fuel was abundantly available, the Sansthan considered alternative energy sources. Around 70 per cent of the cooking here is carried out solely through solar energy, while the remaining 30 per cent is done using traditional wood. In times of emergency, the Shegaon Sansthan has achieved self-reliance by utilising natural resources.
