Three Bangladeshi nationals arrested for illegal stay in Karad, Maharashtra

Case registered against house owner who provided shelter

Karad The Local Crime Branch has arrested three Bangladeshi nationals who were allegedly residing illegally at Mundhe in Karad taluka. The arrested individuals have been identified as Bilal Salaluddin Molla, Ayesha Adil Sheikh and Nasreen Abdulsalay Molla. They were produced before a court, which remanded them to two days of police custody. A case has also been registered against the house owner who allegedly provided them accommodation.

The three individuals had reportedly been staying in Karad for several months. The house owner is accused of renting out a room to them without verifying their personal details and without informing the police, as required under tenancy regulations.

Authorities are conducting a detailed investigation into the duration of their stay, their movements, contacts, and the purpose of their entry into India. Officials from the State Intelligence Department also questioned the accused separately on 23 February.
