Ganagapur (Karnataka) – Bhim Bhatguruji, the chief priest of Shri Datt Mandir at Ganagapur and a revered saintly personality of the Shri Datt Sampradaya, has recently attained Sadgati. He had dedicated his entire life to the service of Shri Datt Maharaj.

Bhatguruji belonged to a lineage that was blessed with the direct association of Shri Nrusimha Saraswati Swami Maharaj, regarded as the second incarnation of Shri Dattatreya.

He had the sacred association of Param Pujya Jogan Vithamai, Sadguru Shri Shankar Maharaj, Shri Gulavani Maharaj, Sadguru Shri Shridhar Swami, Om Datt Shri Thakur Maharaj and Gurudev Param Pujya Shri Narayanand Saraswati Swami Maharaj.

Bhim Bhatguruji was the composer of the well-known stotra “Jagadvandya Avadhoot Digambar Dattatreya Guru Tumhich Na?”. Devotees have expressed deep sorrow, stating that with his passing, a great Datta devotee has departed from among them.
