Bhatkal (Karnataka) – On Tengara Road along the Murudeshwar–Bailur route in Bhatkal taluka, seven minor Muslims who arrived on two-wheelers at night pelted stones at several Hindu houses. The incident occurred on 23 February, resulting in broken windows. Two of the boys who were caught on the spot were handed over to the police by local residents. Subsequently, the police took the remaining five into custody. The incident led to temporary tension in the area.

Medical examination of the detained boys revealed that all of them had consumed narcotic substances. Police informed that they have been produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. As a precautionary measure, police security has been deployed in the Bailur and Murudeshwar areas.
