Stone-pelting at Vande Bharat Express in which Param Pujya Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohanji Bhagwat was travelling

Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) – Stones were hurled at the Vande Bharat Express by which Param Pujya Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohanji Bhagwat arrived in Meerut during his tour of Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place at Hardoi on the afternoon of 19 February. Due to the stone-pelting, the glass pane of one window was shattered. Railway Police are investigating the matter.

According to the police, some children were playing cricket near the railway tracks. The damage may have been caused by a cricket ball accidentally hitting the train, or possibly by a mischievous child throwing a stone.

The coach in which Param Pujya Sarsanghchalak was travelling was one coach behind the compartment that was hit. Following the incident, security personnel shifted Param Pujya Sarsanghchalak to another coach as a precautionary measure.
