A new terrorist organisation ‘Ansar Interim’ behind the bomb blast near the Red Fort

New Delhi – It has now emerged that the devastating bomb blast that took place near the Red Fort last year was part of a larger, nationwide conspiracy. Investigations have revealed the involvement of a so-called “white-collar” terrorist module; a network in which terrorists live among ordinary citizens, blend into society, carry out attacks in crowded areas, and escape unnoticed. A group of well-educated doctors with professional backgrounds came together to form a new terrorist outfit named Ansar Interim, with the objective of carrying out destructive activities in Jammu & Kashmir as well as major cities across the country. The prime mastermind of this module has been identified as Dr. Umar-un-Nabi from Pulwama.

1. Umar himself orchestrated the explosion of an explosives-laden car outside the Red Fort on 10th November 2025, an attack that claimed the lives of 10 innocent civilians. He had been influenced by extremist ideology since 2016 and had earlier attempted on 2 occasions to join established terrorist groups.

2. The seeds of this conspiracy were sown during a secret meeting held in Srinagar in April 2022. At this meeting, suspects including Muzammil Gani, Umar-un-Nabi, Adil Rather, and Maulvi Irfan decided to set up Ansar Interim. Adil Rather was appointed as the Ameer (chief), Maulvi Irfan as the deputy leader, and Muzammil Gani as the treasurer.

3. After losing contact with older terrorist organisations, these educated youths created their own independent module. By adopting the name “Ansar,” a term historically associated with Al-Qaeda-linked groups, they sought to spread fear and revive extremist activities under a new banner.

Editorial Perspective

When the backbone of one terrorist organisation is broken, a new one often emerges. To put a stop to this cycle, it is essential not only to teach Pakistan a lesson but also to act decisively, in a language extremists within India clearly understand.
