MLA Komal Singh of the Janata Dal (United) and MLA Maithili Thakur of the Bharatiya Janata Party opposed the administration

Patliputra (Bihar) – During the budget session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, newly elected BJP MLA and renowned folk singer Maithili Thakur criticised the administration. She questioned her own government over the state’s healthcare system. Similarly, Komal Singh, MLA of the Janata Dal (United), also demanded answers from the administration regarding the existence of a stadium in her constituency.
1. Maithili Thakur drew the government’s attention to the poor condition of the additional health centre at Kurson Nadiyami in the Tardih block of her constituency. The government stated that only repairs were required for the hospital; however, Thakur claimed that the building is completely dilapidated and needs to be rebuilt. She also stated that earlier there were two modern doctors posted there, but now only one doctor is working under the Ministry of AYUSH.
2. On the other hand, Komal Singh questioned the Sports Minister regarding the stadium in her Gaighat constituency in Muzaffarpur. She alleged that government records show the existence of a stadium, but in reality, it is only an old ground.
Editorial PerspectiveSuch MLAs who, despite being in power, openly question the administration and ministers in the interest of the public are the need of the present times ! Otherwise, misleading the public by merely making hollow claims and increasing their problems has become routine for many administrative officials.
