Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Madhu Chandra Shil, 62, was shot dead by a Muslim man over a land dispute in Joydeb Malsabari village of Rajahat upazila in Kurigram district of Bangladesh on January 26.

The family of Madhu Chandra Shil and his neighbour Abed Ali had a long-standing dispute over the boundary of land.  On January 26, the dispute escalated on the same ground. At this time, Madhu Chandra was pushed hard by Ali and died subsequently. The police have arrested Abed Ali. The police are searching for the other accused in this case.
