Bangladeshi Hindus face atrocities, yet Khan values his team and money above all else !

Mumbai – In the context of Pakistan, the Union Government had taken a firm stand that “water and blood cannot flow together”. The same stand must now be taken with regard to Bangladesh as well. Forgetting the unspeakable atrocities being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh and rolling out a ‘red carpet’ for Bangladeshi players on Indian soil is something we will never tolerate. This is the stand that all IPL team owners should have taken. However, following the decision of the BCCI, Bangladeshi player Mustafizur Rahman was excluded. India must convey a clear message to Bangladesh that “violence and sport cannot be pursued at the same time”. Allowing even a single player from Pakistan or Bangladesh to play on Indian soil would amount to rubbing salt into the wounds of Hindus. Therefore, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has demanded a complete ban on players from these countries playing in India. A memorandum to this effect has been sent to the Prime Minister, the Union Home Minister and the President of the BCCI.

A few days ago, the Samiti had demanded that Bangladeshi player Mustafizur Rahman be removed from the Kolkata Knight Riders team. The BCCI subsequently took a stand on the matter. While we welcome the BCCI’s decision, this stand should have been taken first by Kolkata Knight Riders owner, actor Shah Rukh Khan. However, he did not take this stand of his own accord. It is condemnable that, for him, his team, business and the profits arising from it matter more than the atrocities being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh. Encouraging Bangladeshi players is nothing short of indirectly supporting the violence against Hindus in that country. Therefore, we strongly condemn Khan and demand that he apologise to the nation.
Hindus are facing atrocities in Bangladesh. In addition, due to illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators, India is witnessing a deterioration in law and order, along with a surge in crimes such as human trafficking, drug rackets and prostitution. Hence, the Samiti has also stated that illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators must be identified and deported to their country.
